In front of this bakery/cafe….

… These two anxiously wait for their owner.

Waiting

He doesn’t look too happy, does he?

That’s because he’s waiting for someone, probably his owner…

… who is most likely in this grocery store.  The poor dog was tied up in front of the store.

Daytime

January 18, 2012 | Filed Under College Campus, Columbia University, Harlem/Morningside Heights | 4 Comments

Earlier, I’d posted some photos of College Walk, lit up at night, on the Columbia University campus.

The lights will stay up until the end of February but during the day, they’re turned off.

The place looks different, huh?   Like night and day.   ;-)

Taxi Ads

January 17, 2012 | Filed Under Harlem/Morningside Heights, Taxi cabs, Yellow Cabs | 4 Comments

Interesting to see what kind of ads appear on a taxi cab.

I was surprised to see that it was for those silly cartoon characters, "Beavis and Butthead".

The Newsstand

January 12, 2012 | Filed Under Newsstands, Pigeons | 4 Comments

The top of this newsstand seems to be a popular spot for pigeons to rest and do some people-watching.

These two seem to have the best view on the street.
