Donuts, Anyone?

I haven’t had donuts, especially one from Dunkin’ Donuts in a very long time.  How about you?  Do you have a favorite place to go for donuts?

Lee’s Art Shop

This ad is found of the side of the building of an arts supplies store called Lee’s Art Shop.  I think it’s been around forever and everyone goes there.  Sometime ago, when Angelina Jolie was in New York,   She did some shopping at Lee’s Art Shop and when she came out the paparrazi went beserk, going to any lengths to take her photograph.  My friend was walking home, on the same side of the street, and had the misfortune of passing by.  She said that one ot the  photographer’s motorbike almost ran over her foot in their eagerness to follow Angelina’s car.  Yikes!  I’m glad I wasn’t around.

Anyway, as I passed the store, I thought about all my favorite art bloggers (See my blogroll section) and I wondered if any of them would go to Lee’s if there were in NYC?  Hmmm…

Near Columbus Circle, this picture frame store has lots of framed material.  "We ship all around the world" is printed on the right-hand corner of the window.

How Much is that Doggy Sweater in the Window?

April 6, 2008 | Filed Under Chelsea, Dogs, Neighborhoods, Pet Shops, Window Shopping | 13 Comments

These dog sweaters were on display in the window of a pet shop in Chelsea.  They were on sale, I suppose because it’s no longer cold.  See, even the dogs in the city can go shopping and find a good sale.  ;-)

The Flower Shop

As Elizabeth and I spent the day in the Chelsea neighborhood, we walked down Ninth Avenue, passing by old apartment office buildings, historical churches, stately brownstones, and different restaurants and shops.  The attractive yellow flowers in the flower shop window attracted us.  We stopped to admire them before stepping inside.  So many beautiful flowers.  Elizabeth impressed me with her knowledge of all the names of the flowers.  Very cool!  Check out her NY photos here and her Moroccan photos here.
