Going to the Park

Lots of people were out and about in the park to play in the snow.

I like that red sled.

After the Snow Storm

February 11, 2013 | Filed Under Snow, Snowman, Winter | 9 Comments

My neighborhood survived the recent snow storm.

Almost everything outside was covered with snow.

The aftermath of the storm left a lot of people digging their cars out of the snow.

Most people were appropriately dressed for the weather, except for this one guy who chose to wear shorts.

I came across a few snowmen.

I think this is my favorite.

The snow seems to bring out the fun and creativity in many New Yorkers.

Sunny Winter Day

I love days like this when there’s a nip in the air, but it’s bright and sunny.

Snowy Day

January 26, 2012 | Filed Under Cell phone photos, Harlem, Snow, Winter | 8 Comments

It snowed last Saturday.  I no longer have dogs to walk in rain, heat, snow, etc… and I had a fridge full of food.  So I had no real reason to go out, if I didn’t have to.  But I did.  I went to pick up my new glasses.  I took these photos with my new cell phone that a friend gave me for Christmas.  It takes pretty good photos.  Not bad at all.

I forgot to wear my boots.  Yikes!   But I survived my walk.

A Cold Day

January 10, 2012 | Filed Under Farmer's Market, Harlem/Morningside Heights, Winter | 15 Comments

The weather is colder…

… Everyone is bundled up…

The Farmer’s Market is still around, despite the colder weather…

… All their products are on display for the shoppers…

I’ve never liked brussels sprouts.  Perhaps this will be the year when I do.

Leafy greens, anyone?

Take your pick.

If you get too cold, you can warm up with some Hot Apple Cider

– two bucks for a large cup and one buck for a small.
