A Beautiful Autumn Day

It was a beautiful, warm and sunny day, yesterday, Friday. Actually, it felt more like summer than autumn. Everyone was outside, enjoying the weather. Many folks (including me) were still wearing summer attire. On the Columbia University campus, these girls sat relaxed, enjoying their chat.

This flowing fountain looked very picturesque.

Even the birds took advantage of the warm weather and the fountain.
I enjoyed watching this pigeon dive into the fountain and the sparrow take sips of water.
Of course, as I approached them to get a closer shot, they flew away.
It was good to see everyone enjoy the day.

THE RED LEAF SAID TO THE VINE
“I will hang on as long as I can,”
The red leaf said to the vine.
“But when my time comes to flutter down,
Please, don’t let me hear you whine.
“I know you’ll be lonely when I’m gone,
But this much I know is true:
When spring comes around after the snows,
More leaves will sprout along you;
“Leaves more charming and witty than I,
Leaves of a much brighter hue;
So do not mourn my passing too much—
It’s been nice clinging to you.”

This cyclist took a break, it seems.
It was a very nice and sunny day after a very rainy and windy one the day before.
Let’s see what he is looking at…
He is looking down into the park at Riverside and enjoying the view of the Hudson River.
Actually he isn’t. He is busy checking his phone, I believe (or a gadget in his hand).
The reason you’re seeing two photos is because I couldn’t decide which photo to post.
*sigh* Decisions, decisions. Which one do you prefer?
