The day after Hurricane Irene, I went to the grocery store to buy more stuff.
When I came out of the store, I saw this cute little dog tied up in front of the store.

She was anxious, standing on the hind legs, looking left, right, all around for her owner.

Later, I saw her at the park with her owner. She seemed much happier.

I have a feeling these two were happy to be together, especially after the storm.

Well, we survived Hurricane Irene. Thankfully, it wasn’t as bad as it could have been.

There were floods, fallen trees, and power shortages…

The effects of the storm was worse on some places than others. Luckily my neighborhood was okay.

I’m glad the storm is over.

Thanks to everyone who expressed concern and good thoughts for our safety. It is much appreciated.

In preparation for the upcoming hurricane, I figured I should go to the store to buy at least water or something.

It was a bit gray outside but everything was nice and calm

The grocery store, on the other hand, was crowded with lots of activity going on.

Everyone was busy shopping…

The store ran out of bottled water and batteries. I bought bread and canned sardines, instead.
