Ruby Tuesday: Pepsi-Cola along the river
June 21, 2010 | Filed Under NYC Signs, Photo Blogging Theme Day, Ruby Tuesday | 23 Comments

This sign, built in 1933, used to be on top of a Pepsi bottling plant near the river. When the plant and its surrounding property were sold, the sign was relocated to where it is now — the Queens side of the East river. In the background, you can also see the Silvercup Studio sign. This studio is the largest film and T.V. production facility in New York City. Shows filmed there include The Sopranos, Sex and the City and Gangs of New York.
This photo is my contribution to Ruby Tuesday, the photo blogging theme day to post photos that highlight the color red. Check out other Ruby Tuesday entries on WORK OF THE POET.
