Two-for-One: Ecological Day & Ruby Tuesday

February 1, 2010 | Filed Under Begonias, Ecological Day, Flowers, Nature in NYC, Photo Blogging Theme Day, Ruby Tuesday | 17 Comments

Today happens to be ECOLOGICAL DAY, which falls on the second day of every month.  Sonia of LEAVES OF GRASS created this photo blogging theme day.

It also happens to be RUBY TUESDAY, the day to post a photo featuring the color red.  Mary the Teach of WORK OF THE POET created this theme day.

I happen to have a photo to fit both photo themes, so here is a two-fer-one post — red flowers for Ruby Tuesday and a nature’s beautiful flowers for Ecological Day.   ;-)    I took this photo during the last days of Autumn in early December.   Each day, the weather continued to get colder but it was nice to see the flowers still in bloom.   Today they no longer exist.  It will be nice when Nature acts accordingly and the flowers bloom again during Spring time.

We have only one Earth, folks.  So, let’s take good care of it.  ;-)

Found on the Building Stoop

August 4, 2009 | Filed Under Begonias, Coleus, Flowers, Found on a Building Stoop, Plants | 12 Comments

Flowers and plants to brighten the entrance way into an apartment building.  Can anyone tell me the name of the flowers?  I believe the plant is a Coleus.  Right?

Have a great day!
