Two Nuns

Walking with Elizabeth the other day in Chelsea, we spotted these nuns heading our way. The wrapped flowers they carried looked as big as them, if not bigger. When they reached us, we spoke to them. One of the nuns told us that the flowers were for decoration for a special celebration they were having. She told us the name of the celebration, but I don’t remember. As Nun #1 continued to converse with us, Nun #2 must have been tired or bored because she took off and walked away. Nun #1 finally said goodbye to us and sprinted after her sister. I guess it’s a good thing she was wearing her sneakers. I noticed that she caught up with Nun #2 with no problem. Perhaps, I should look for the same kind of sneakers for myself.

Soon, these brilliant flowers will be no more; but for the moment there are still around.

Anyone know the name of this flower? Yeah, I know I’m always asking you?
Happy Monday to all!

Ed. Note: Thanks, Deb, for identifying this flower as Monkshood – Aconitum napellus.
It’s poisonous! Pretty but poisonous.
