Beautiful sunrise!

Glorious sunrise!
There’s nothing more wonderful than basking in the light of a marvelous sunrise in the morning.

Apollo Theater

The Apollo Theater is a famous music hall in Harlem. Built in 1913, it was originally all-white music hall and burlesque house. In 1934 it was turned into a place for Black performers. Many got their start at the Apollo. It has become the symbol of black music and culture.

Performers at the Apollo include: Ella Fitzgerald, James Brown, Billie Holliday, Gladys Knight and the Pips, Diana Ross & the Supremes, The Jackson 5, Aretha Franklin, Jimi Hendrix, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, Buddy Holly, Paul McCartney, and more.

I just learned that Bruce Springsteen will be playing at the Apollo in March.

Eight pigeons (thankfully, no strapped dog) resting on the roof of a parked car.
I’m not sure the car owner will be happy to see them or evidence that they’ve been hanging out on his/her car.

“Everything Must Go, Even my Dog Toto!”

"Everything must go, even my dog Toto. And my ex wife, too!"
I was walking down 125th street, past these two trying to entice people to go into their store that had a sale. When the man on the right mentioned his dog Toto and ex wife, I burst out laughing and backtracked to take their photo. I’m sure they were able to get a lot of people to stop by their store that day.
