No, Not Dead

This cat belongs to a neighborhood grocery store. On this day, the weather was sunny and warm. I suppose he she decided to take advantage of the good weather and take a nap outside. At first I thought I’d spotted a dead cat but when I stopped to observe him her closely, I could see his her chest rise calmly with every breath. He She was certainly enjoying his her nap under the sun. All the city noises, passing motorists, pedestrians and this photographer did not disturb him her.
Happy Saturday, all!

Ed. Note: Thanks, Pia for that correction that the cat is most likely a "she".

Last week I posted photos of a family of stray cats. Here is another family. They, too, moved around a lot. The top photo is of the mother and one of her kittens.

While the mother waits for the rest of her kittens to come from behind the bush, at least one kitten still moves around.

Stray cats playing like they don’t have a care in the world.
I’ve been seeing two sets of stray cat families. It’s disturbing to see them living on the street. especially when the weather’s getting colder. People tell me not to worry, they’re feral, they can take care of themselves but I can’t help but worry.
The kittens are really adorable and never sit still for more than two seconds. They move around, play with each other and are in constant motion. The mother on the other hand sits still and watches her kittens. As I stopped to take photos of them, she kept a very close eye on me, too.
This is my contribution to Motion Thursday, hosted by Mary of 2 Frames per Second. Find out how to join in on the fun and see other Motion Thursday photos here.
