The Beautiful Game

The cookbooks on display in the bookstore window looked interesting but the books on the beautiful game (soccer/football) stopped me in my tracks. I’m not much of a sports fan but I enjoy watching soccer and make sure not to miss sports events like the 2010 FIFA World Cup. It occurs every four years and will begin in a few days.

During the World Cup, I love rooting for the teams from the various countries and watching their enthusiastic supporters. Of course, I love watching the athletes play the beautiful game, especially when they score a goal. GOOOOAL!!! It’s a lot of fun.

The World Cup starts June 11 and ends July 11. I can’t wait!
