On Fifth Avenue, I pass by tourists taking photos of this big guy. He’s popular.

Instead of a Yellow cab, how about taking a bike taxi. I’ve never been on one of these.

Street Bargains on Fifth Avenue

Even on expensive Fifth Avenue, one can find a bargain — on the street, that is. The sign reads, "Designer Jewelry – Only $5". I was too cold to walk up and investigate the jewlery but these women around the table seemed mesmerized with their finds.

Thank you, Kostas of BeeFotoBlog for giving me the Unique award! Oh, wow! I’m feeling unique and very special now.
I pass this award to the bloggers reading this post, right now. Yes, you! I appreciate your unique blogs each time I visit.

Ed. Note: Someone asked what this contraption is. Sorry, I should have explained. It’s not an unusual sight, so I forgot to explain. It’s basically a pipe in the middle of the street, allowing steam to move upwards and not blow into traffic. They’re probably working on pipes underground and have sectioned of that part of the road with the mostly orange barricade so that there are no pedestrian or motorist accidents.
