Enjoying a Fine Autumn Day

Even the pigeon know how to relax and enjoy the beautiful autumn days we’ve been having.

Sunbathing seemed like a good idea, while a few others searched for food in the grass.

This pair seemed to enjoy sunbathing together.

Here’s another couple relaxing together.

Life is good.

A Beautiful Autumn Day

October 1, 2011 | Filed Under Autumn/Fall, College Campus, Columbia University, Pigeons, Sparrows | 8 Comments

It was a beautiful, warm and sunny day, yesterday, Friday.   Actually, it felt more like summer than autumn.  Everyone was outside, enjoying the weather.   Many folks (including me) were still wearing summer attire.  On the Columbia University campus, these girls sat relaxed, enjoying their chat.

This flowing fountain looked very picturesque.

Even the birds took advantage of the warm weather and the fountain.

I enjoyed watching this pigeon dive into the fountain and the sparrow take sips of water.

Of course, as I approached them to get a closer shot, they flew away.

It was good to see everyone enjoy the day.

Spotted

I am sitting on this tree branch on 125th Street in Harlem, watching people pass by beneath me.  Perhaps someone will drop some food for me and my friends to eat.  At the moment, no one sees me.  I’m invisible to all.  Wait a minute!  Who’s that woman walking down the street with a camera pointed at me?  Uh oh!  I think I’ve been spotted….

Lunchtime!

Lunchtime for everyone, including the pigeons!

This a little spot for everyone to enjoy near Lincoln Center on the West side.

This girl wears a Mona Lisa smile on her face as she concentrates on her smart phone.

Where will you enjoy your lunch today?
