Morningside Park Cats 2

On a spring morning, these stray cats look for something to eat and drink.

At a distance, they wait and watch as food and water are placed out for them,

Since I last posted about the stray cats in the park, I’ve learned a lot more about them.

In addition to the lady, I’d first met, feeding them,

I learned there are other kind-hearted people

who take time to bring the cats food and water.

The lady, I met, spent money out of her pocket to have the cats caught,

given medical attention and, in some cases, find homes.

A school girl (a junior ranger), has put together a fundraiser for medical care of the cats,

which includes getting them spayed/neutered.

It’s nice to see a lot of good people who are concerned about the cats, each person helping in their own way.

(By the way, I first wrote about the cats HERE.)

  2. I used to dislike cats and then my daughter and granddaughter had to move in with us and they brought along, Baby Kitty. A monster male, black cat, and after he bit me once, he and I have been great friends ever since.

  3. I love seeing those pussy cats!
A good thing some of them get spayed/neutered because otherwise there would be millions of them.
You are very kind to feed them.
As regards accents, I really don’t notice your Noo Yawk one.
Maybe because I have a peculiar accent myself!

Hi Elizabeth: I agree about getting them spayed/neutered. When they multiply, the problem remains.

      Funny about accents, huh!? 😀

I trust you had a wonderful Mother’s Day.

  5. Sweet to see! And wonderful idea for the fundraiser for health care, etc. for these beauties. They may no belong to anyone, but they need care :o) Happy Days ((HUGS))

Hi Tracy: Yes, health care, is especially important, so that they don’t get stuck in the same predicament. I understand that there are at least two cats that are pregnant.
