Railrider’s Throne
by Michelle Green (1991)
Sitting in the steel chair does make a commuter feel like royalty
– subway royalty, that is,
especially when waiting for the train.
This piece of subway art is located at the 116th Street subway station in Manhattan.
Have a good Monday, everyone!

Does it get sat in, I wonder, or do people steer clear because it is a work of art?
Hi Margaret! Good to see you! People sit in it ALL the time! Perhaps, next time, I’ll take a photo of that.

Interesting. A fine piece of art which makes comfortable the waiting for the train, does it?
Hi Pietro: Yes, I think anyone who sits in the chair feels comfortable. Looks like they do not want to get up.
