Grand Central Terminal

A friend was visiting the city and on her way to the airport, I met her at Grand Central Station.

Actually, the proper name is Grand Central Terminal, but for some reason, most people say Grand Central Station.

You can’t miss the grand entrance with a clock to help you see if you’re late, early or on time.

An impressive ceiling depicting the stars.

I think I could have spent the day there, simply staring up at the ceiling.

The men who sold tickets to the airport shuttle bus were nice and friendly.

The shuttle bus tickets were surprisingly reasonable. Much cheaper than a cab ride to the airport.

When one of the ticket sellers saw my camera, he decided to pose for me.

Just then, another seller from a rival company decided to stick his tickets in the shot.

There seemed to be a friendly rivalry between the ticket sellers of different companies.

Strike a pose and smile!

  5. Hi Paz! It has been a long absence, but things have been a bit hard: father 95, mother almost 91 doing radiotherapy, wife broke right elbow and I’m consuming some much needed holidays to take care of all this…

Love to get there; not so much to depart… ;)

As far as Blogtrotter Two is concerned, it seems nobody is interested in St. Kitts, so maybe I should try something else. Anyhow, enjoy and have a great week or better a vacation, if still available!!!
