Car rooftop

April 25, 2012 | Filed Under City Streets and Sidewalks, Harlem, Morningside Heights, New Yorkers

I’m hoping that the car belonged to this young man or perhaps his friend.  He looked odd sitting on top of it, but he acted as if it was a completely normal thing to do.  An odd sight, for sure.  Lots of people passed by him but no one seemed surprised to see him there.

As I passed by him, I had to turn around to take one more look and one more photo.

I’m just glad it wasn’t a dog tied to the roof top.  ;)

  1. A super photo
I think you should not sit on car roofs as it dents them!

  2. dents, indeed. if i had to sit on a car i’d sit on the hood and use the windshield as a back rest. much more comfortable that way, i think. on the other hand, why would i want to sit on a car…why would anyone?

  4. Hi Paz! Today is a holiday in Portugal, but it’s the worst winter day we had since last October… As grey as if we were living in Northern Europe… So, the only right thing to do is surfing the Net… ;)

Just trying to get the best connection… ;)

Blogtrotter Two is now in St. Kitts and Nevis… Enjoy and have a great week!!!

  5. Awesome! Even if it’s not his, though, he’s not making a dent … and it’s better to be sitting outside than inside the car, I’m sure.

    Interesting catch!

  7. Great catch, Paz! Maybe he’s “car sitting” for someone and takes his job very seriously? :)

  8. Paz, I hope it was an old car! I can’t imagine someone sitting on the roof of a new car! For shame! :)

  10. The guy was texting his friend: “Sorry, man, I’m running late. Can’t move right now ’cause I’m getting my photo taken by Paz. You know, of Paz’s New York Minute.”
