I believe I’ve posted a photo of this bench with the engraved name plate before.
It is dedicated to someone named Rachel.
Oh, yes, here it is (autumn 2009).
And now, here it is Winter 2011.
Today, there is no more snow. We have spring-like weather. Yay!

Okay. Maybe not so wild but out in the park.

Enjoying the Snow

Luckily, all the snow has melted. I’m SO happy. These photos were taking back in December 2010. I wanted to post them but never got a chance. Here they are now.

As I walked towards the park, I noticed two young men — tourists — heading to the park, too. How did I know they were tourists? Well, they didn’t walk or carry themselves like the locals. They walked slowly and were looking around, looking up at the buildings… The biggest giveaway was the camera around the neck of one of the men and a travel guide in the other’s hand. They stopped to consult their NYC tour guide.

As we walked up the sidewalk, one of the men climbed on a big mound of snow, dropped to the ground and started rolling around in the snow, waving his arms. "Take my photo, take my photo!" He said to his friend with the camera. I assume that is what he said because he spoke in a foreign language. His friend started taking his picture. I took one, too!
