Roma or New York?

Are we in Rome or New York?  Vespas are more commonly seen in places like Rome than New York.  The sight of this beige-colored Vespa, parked on a NYC sidewalk, stopped me in my tracks.  Last year, I saw a blue Vespa

Continue having a good week, everyone!

Celebrating Mexico

Marching down the avenue,
Marching with such flair,
Celebrating Mexico,
Wishing we were there.

Dressed in red and white and green,
Walking hand in hand,
Celebrating Mexico—
How we love our land!

About a week ago, Mexican Day parade was held.  There were lots of participants — lots of people wearing green, white and RED.

Happy Ruby Tuesday, everyone!  Stop by WORK OF THE POET to see a lineup of other photos that feature the color red.   ;-)

Today’s Flowers

I like to buy fruits and vegetables from this street vendor.  His stand is located on a very busy sidewalk.  Since he charges a reasonable price, customers keep him very busy.

Here’s a close up of the flowers next to the vendor.  Visit TODAY’S FLOWERS to see a line up of other flower photos.

Have a great week, everyone.

At the Farmer’s Market

A few things one may find at the small Farmer’s Market near me.  I’ve always wanted a window garden of herbs.

You’ll find some flowers.

The fresh strawberries don’t look bad but I think they were too expensive for my tastes.

More flowers to buy, anyone?

Ed. Note:   Thanks, Magical Mystical Teacher, for the poem.  I love it!

Farmers Market Ditty
(for Paz)

Lavender, oregano, marigolds and thyme;
Sexy, luscious strawberries still not past their prime;

Regal white geraniums with lavender hearts—
At the farmers market is where all the fun starts.

Ruby Tuesday: At the Supermarket

Mango, plum and nectarine—
Sweetest fruit you’ve ever seen!
Pick some up to take along—
Sing a tutti-frutti song!
