Ruby Tuesday: Flag Day
June 15, 2010 | Filed Under Flags, Photo Blogging Theme Day, Ruby Tuesday

I had another photo that I’d planned on posting as my contribution to Ruby Tuesday, the photo blogging theme day where you post a photo that highlights the color red. Mary the Teach of WORK OF THE POET created and hosts this weekly event. However, when I’d stopped by her blog to list my original entry, I was reminded that June 14 commemorated Flag day of the United States. So, I decided to repost this previously-posted photo, instead.
Happy Flag day! Happy Ruby Tuesday!
Stop by WORK OF THE POET to see other fun Ruby Tuesday photos.

That flag shot is awesome! You were able to capture it’s movement perfectly.
Cheers,
Rosa
Very cool shot! Is the flag being erected or is the pole crooked?
Hi Rosa: Thanks! I originally posted it for Motion Thursday, last year.
Hi PeacefulGirl: Welcome! Most likely my hand was the crooked one (the pole is at an angle off the rooftop.).
Thanks for stopping by.

The angle is great, making the flag look huge. The light in the background is lovely too.
Nice shot! You’ve captured the flags movement well.
The flag is immense, just the right size for NYC. A lovely sky sits over the tall buildings, the flag the uniting symbol of all of us. Happy Flag Day!
Great flag shot, Paz! Happy Ruby Tuesday! And Happy Flag Day!
A great looking flag photo going on here. Our Flag Day is Feb 15th. A little cold then but still the flag warms the sole.
I did the same thing
I found a flag I had shot months ago after seeing Mary’s post
I love how you captured the motion
Gorgeous, Paz! I can almost hear it flapping in the breeze.
Old Glory
still waves in the land
of the brave.
Red-Sash Window (With Gum!)
A wonderful shot to celebrate the day!
Thanks for stopping by, everyone!
