Shadow Shot Sunday: Broadway Malls
April 25, 2010 | Filed Under Broadway Malls, City Streets and Sidewalks, Nature in NYC, Photo Blogging Theme Day, Shadow Shot Sunday, Shadows

Despite the name Broadway Malls, you can see, this is not a shopping mall on Broadway. The Broadway Malls is a landscaped median strip, stretching from 60th street to 168th street on Broadway. You’ll find benches, plants, trees, birds and sometimes an occassional squirrel. It’s a place where New Yorkers can enjoy a little bit of nature and their surroundings.
On this sunny day, a pattern of shadows also decorated this section of the Broadway Malls — a perfect shot for Shadow Shot Sunday.

I’m so glad you cleared up the ‘Broadway Malls’ issue. I was a little confused until I read your explanation! :=} I love the bench/gazebo shadows in this picture!
Happy SSS!
lovely shadows Paz! I never knew this place existed. Now I must go & check it out. Thank you.
: )
What a lovely idea. It looks like a perfect spot to briefly escape the busier part of the city. And squirrels appear sometimes? How cool!
Beautiful perspective, with the tulips, the trees and the houses!
Thanks for stopping by, everyone!

Very cool, love the flowers back there too!
Love how strong your sunshine is, there!
You certainly know how to show us the simple beauty New Yorkers see on an ordinary day…it’s the little things we appreciate, the budding of tulips…ahhhh…Spring!!!
What a lovely thing to know about NYC. You are an incredible ambassador, Paz! From being a follower of this blog, I now know so much more about your city than I’ve ever known before. Like … it’s so Beautiful!! Thank you for that.
