Ruby Tuesday: The Red Tulip
April 19, 2010 | Filed Under Flowers, Photo Blogging Theme Day, Ruby Tuesday, Spring, Tulips

Tulips of all colors have sprung up all over the city. I couldn’t miss this red one, perfect for Ruby Tuesday, the day to post photos with red subjects.
Check out WORK OF THE POET to see a lineup of cool Ruby Tuesday posts.

Wonderful closeup of this reddish-orange tulip, Paz.
The red ones I posted are not open yet. At least they weren’t open on Saturday.
I always look forward to your photos, Paz. Tulips in NYC – you captured this one beautifully.
Now that is certainly a bright spot of red!
I’m looking at all that pollen in the center.
Beautiful….why, it looks SILKY!!
My Ruby Tuesday? I’ve Got Crabs Do stop by if you get a chance. Have a great day.
Beautiful Paz!
Amazing, that your tulips are already so far along: ours here in Scotland are just starting to come into bloom!
Wow! That is the reddest red I’ve ever seen. And the petal texture is divine, Paz. Love the detail. I had the same epiphany on Sunday at the park, suddenly everything was blooming and colorful. I needed that!
Ciao and thanks for contributing to mood-lifting color therapy.
Amazing! What a ruby color!
No need to focus on the pollen, it tends to get me in the end anyhow…
A colourful composition today. I’ll have to wait another month before catching tulips here.
