Taking people places.  This subway runs above ground for a few blocks before going underground again.

The train came from this station pictured here on 125th Street in Harlem.

MOTION THURSDAY.   Check it out and post your own photo of a subject in motion.  Join in on the fun!

  1. This looks so exotic to me! Here, we don’t even have a subway…

  2. When I go to NYC, I love to ride the Subway because we don’t have one either. A little challenging though to figure it out. Great shots Paz.

  3. Unique looks at your city for me. I think I like the top one the best as it shows the most I have never seen before.

Matilda and all other birds in the wild don’t really live very long. I don’t remember how many years she came back in the spring and did her dance on the windowsill but three or four. After that or then she didn’t come back. I suppose she died somewhere.

  4. Love the angle of these shots. The first one is super. I never rode a NY subway or “el”, but we had them in Philadelphia, and I loved them since childhood. There is always something or someone interesting to watch, and the underground stations were the best. My favorite subways are in Budapest and in Pittsburgh, PA.

Cool shot! An above-ground subway is not common in Manhattan, but very common in the outer borrows of Brooklyn and Queens.
