Ecological Day and Ruby Tuesday

March 2, 2010 | Filed Under Ecological Day, Photo Blogging Theme Day, Ruby Tuesday, Snow, Winter

This is one of the many entrances to Central Park.  Nature looks so beautiful, blanketed with snow.  We only have one earth, so let’s be good to it, folks. This photo blogging theme, started by Sonia of LEAVES OF GRASS, falls on the second day of every month.

I imagine that these two are on their way to play in the snow in Central Park.   How could I miss that red, which is perfect for the photo blogging theme, RUBY TUESDAY, started by Mary the Teach.  Stop by WORK OF THE POET to see other Ruby Tuesday photos.

  11. Ahh, the snow. We trade off, you and I, with this: every time you get some, it’s just barely melted before it shows up over here to torment us. Good to know, really. ;)

  13. You received plenty of snow on Manhattan island, you wonder where else you could put it all beyond the Hudson and East Rivers? Central Park is a lovely backdrop, a refuge with the falling snow just making the city quiet and peaceful. A wonderful capture!

  17. I just noticed the tiny piece of red in the top photo! Center left – what is that? Did you notice it when you took the shot? It’s so … perfect! (Or are my eyes deceiving me?)

  20. Christine: What a sharp eye you have! I think that is some kind of trash entangled in the tree branch. It happens to be red in color.

    Thanks for stopping by, everyone!
