I like this car window design and would like to meet the artist.   ;-)

Motion Thursday

December 16, 2009 | Filed Under 34th Street, City Streets and Sidewalks, Motion, Motion Thursday, Photo Blogging Theme Day | 11 Comments

Everyone’s in motion.   They’re all walking at a brisk pace.   Nope, no slow walkers here.   They’ve got places to go, people to see, things to do.  And, besides, it’s freezing out here.

For more photos of subjects in motion, stop by MOTION THURSDAY.   Come join in on the fun and post your own Motion Thursday photo.

New York City Girl

Another interesting engraved name plate on a park bench.  A wonderful-sounding lady.

Ed. Note:  A few of you have wondered about this lady.  I did, too. So, before I posted this photo, since I had her full name, I googled it to see if I would get any information, but nothing came up for her.

A True Warrior

December 14, 2009 | Filed Under 34th Street, City Streets and Sidewalks, New Yorkers, Portraits | 19 Comments

It was an extremely cold day and I was on 34th Street.

I was trying to quickly take photos of the Macy’s Christmas window before my fingers froze.

All of a sudden, I heard a voice near me say, "Hey lady, take a photo of me, a true warrior."

I turned to see this man.  I smiled and took his photo, but it was too cold to stand around and have a conversation with him.

So, I left him standing there.

A block later, he walked past me, talking to himself.
