New York City Girl

December 15, 2009 | Filed Under Chronicles of a NYC Bench, Engraved Name Plates, Riverside Park

Another interesting engraved name plate on a park bench.  A wonderful-sounding lady.

Ed. Note:  A few of you have wondered about this lady.  I did, too. So, before I posted this photo, since I had her full name, I googled it to see if I would get any information, but nothing came up for her.

  1. She does sound interesting, love the idea of the memorial on the park bench. Wonder where you sign up for one?

  2. Good observation. “energy, style and fashion” – not something one typically sees on a memorial. I like the varying shades of brown in your photo.

    Wonder who was Karen Gates?

  4. There is something so profound and humbling in reading the sweet dedications on benches, like this one… I wonder about Karen… Happy Day, Paz ((HUGS))
