Very interesting shape! Looks like a cold winter day!!!
Interesting shot! singing to …”where do the children play”…
The name brings up images of dope houses, trash and litter on the streets and kids in and out of jail. If you had asked me to describe Harlem that is what comes to mind.
This picture looks perfect. And is it the new Harlem and all the rest is a time that has passed.
Is that a kind of playground int the park, Paz? It looks like fun! Happy Day ((HUGS))
GREAT photo, Paz! Nice atmosphere.
I love so much this building’s architecture. It’s so much NY to me.
A wonderful overhead shot. How did you capture it without crowds of people?
That looks like it might be at the end of Central Park…the Dutch Meer? Can’t think whether I have that name right?
Good to be checking back in here again Paz, and catching up, now I am back in NYC for another spell!
Very nice view!
Harlem is looking much better these years!!
Wow! My images of Harlem go way back to seedy, dark Hollywood movies. This looks beautiful!
Empty street, empty part, bare trees, except the one that defies the cold weather. Beautiful photo!
Thanks for stopping by, everyone.
By the way, many of the photos posted on the blog are of Harlem.

Annie: Welcome back! This is part of Morningside Heights park.

So glad I found your site! The gestalt of this playground makes me swear it was from The Panic in Needle Park – that eponymous spot on the upper west side where those scenes were filmed. Am I right?
Hi Rayna: Welcome. You could be right. I’m not sure if this is a movie location (I’m not familiar with the movie you mentioned) but I wouldn’t be surprised if it is because they film a lot of movies around here.
