Autumn View

December 20, 2009 | Filed Under Autumn/Fall, Hudson River

Well, it snowed last night and there’s a lotta snow.  But I haven’t taken any photos, yet, of NYC’s first snow storm of 2009.  When I went outside in the morning, it was too dark to take photos and I was just trying to concentrate on walking and not falling, since the sidewalks had not been cleared, yet.   The snow looks pretty, especially the first fall of snow, untouched by dirt and pollution.  However, I’m so NOT ready for snow or winter.

So, instead of a snow photo, here’s a photo overlooking the Hudson River, which we able to see because the trees have lost their leaves.  I love Fall (Autumn).

Paz

Ed. Note:  To see a wonderland slide show of the snow fall in NY, stop by WORK OF THE POET.

  3. Hi Paz! Taking into account what we see on TV, much better Fall than this Winter you have… We’re also freezing here, at +3º centigrade; we freeze at higher temperatures… ;) )

Time to relax with a visit to a museum? Blogtrotter is at the British! Enjoy and have a great holiday season!

  4. Paz, I have a slideshow at my Work of the Poet blog. Just had to show what a foot of snow looks like in Queens! I love your shot of the Hudson and not a glimpse of snow! Happy Holidays, Paz, all the best of the season to you and yours! :)

  6. Pity they don’t ask whether you’re ready for SNOW or WINTER! Doubt if I every will be. Today we had our share of it! It’s a white world outside over here and it might look pictoresque I don’t like it at all and can’t wait for it to leave! Unfortunately temperatures will remain low and more snow is forecasted! Looks like we’re going to have our first WHITE CHRISTMAS since many years!

Wishing you and yours a very MERRY CHRISTMAS! Enjoy and have fun!

  7. Hi Paz

The Hudson looks so pretty in this photo.

We got almost 14 inches of snow —how much did you get? The sun melted a lot but I think we will have a White Christmas!

Merry Christmas to you and your family!
