Another Squirrel Nest
November 14, 2009 | Filed Under Autumn/Fall, New York City Wildlife, Squirrels, Trees

There are a lot of trees in the city that are still full of leaves and are still changing colors. Here’s one of the few trees I’ve seen that has lost all its leaves. Right on the top is a squirrel nest, like the one that I mentioned about in the post below.

Buster wants to know where those evil Fatty’s live!
There are 2 by the cinema by us.
Claudia leaves on Monday. Maybe we can get together next week if your
schedule permits?
Another squirrel nest… Something about these makes me sad, as it’s not their usual winter home. How much animals have to adapt… The trees are bare here now… And we had SNOW last night! Only two inches…but winter’s here. Happy weekend, Paz ((HUGS))
Hey there, Elizabeth and Buster: Perhaps Fatty has one of these leaf nests but a hole in the tree nest is better. So, I hope she has one of those instead. Yes, let’s get together soon!
Hi Tracy: It is sad, especially knowing what they have to face during the winter. I am sooooo NOT ready for snow. No way!
Thanks for stopping by.

Amazing how Fatty has learned to adapt – it had not occurred to me to see those as squirrel nests!
