Offline for a While

Shortly after my last post, due to lightning during a thunderstorm, I lost all the computers in my home. I also lost access to the internet. The external hard drive where I saved all my photos and other stuff were destroyed, too. When I get a new computer and am back online, I’ll be back blogging and visiting your blogs.

Best,

Paz

Ed. Note:  Thanks, everyone, for your comments.   I recently ordered a new computer and can’t wait for it to arrive!   ;-)

  1. Oh no! I’m so sorry that happened to you Paz. A storm once fried my computer, so I understand how upsetting it is. Apart from that horrible mishap I hope everything else in your world is going ok. See you when you’re back online again! xo

  2. Oh my god! That is so terrible! Let’s all back up religiously from now on, including an offsite backup. Would surge protectors have saved your computer? You have my deepest sympathy.

  9. So sorry to read this. I know how awful it can be. I’m trusting that my external hard drive will never let me down! I wonder if this happened in spite of a storm surge master or whether you did not have one.

Enjoyed catching up on New York minutes. Brings back memories of my many visits there.

  30. Oh no Paz! I’m so sad for you! I never thought that a lightening strike could even burn out an external hard drive. :-(

I have been away on vacation the past two weeks — we went to the wonderful wild west to see a few National Parks. It’s good to be home but I miss my grandson.
