The Brownstone and Yellow Flowers

June 18, 2009 | Filed Under Brownstones, Flowers, Kerria Japonica, Nature in NYC

A brownstone in the Chelsea area of Manhattan.

At the bottom of the stoop, these bright flowers caught my attention.   I like yellow flowers.

Does anyone know the name of this flower?

Paz

  1. Ah, the special brownstones again, with Kerria japonica. I like houses that are a unity with plants.

  2. I should recognize that flower, but can’t think of the name I know it by. I’m sure that name isn’t the official one that Hildegarde has given you, but a more whimsical one.

    I do love the photo.

  10. Sorry don’t know its name, do know that we removed this plant from our garden a few weeks ago. It kind off grew everywhere and that in a small garden, no thanks!
