Ruby Tuesday: Grant’s Tomb

May 25, 2009 | Filed Under Grant's Tomb, Harlem, Landmarks, Mausoleums

At this time of the year, the mausoleum of Civil War General and 18th U. S. President Ulysses S. Grant and his wife is decorated with the American flag to commemorate Grant’s birthday (April 27) and Memorial Day. (May 25).

This is my photo entry for Ruby Tuesday.  Stop by WORK OF THE POET to see other Ruby Tuesday photos, pictures of something red.

Happy one year anniversary, Ruby Tuesday!

  4. It’s such a beautiful spot, isn’t it? I can’t think of it though without remembering that old quiz show question, “Who’s buried in Grant’s Tomb?” It was astounding how many people would get it wrong.
