Rain Attire

This past weekend, it rained. The attire of these two little girls caught my eye. They were certainly prepared for the weather, from their coats, to their rain boots, to their umbrellas.

Ed. Note: I’ve posted photos of these stand pipes before. If you missed them, you can find them here. Siamese standpipes are two-headed pipes, which firefighters use for water (like they use fire hydrants). If you really want to know more about them, you can read this New York Times article.

Myers of Keswick

One of the things I love about New York is that you can find almost anything, especially food, here. For example, if you’re looking for traditional English food products — from jams, teas, pies, crackers, steak & kidney, Black pudding, Irish Cheddar Cheese, and more – you can find them at Myers of Keswick in the Village. I stopped by this shop with Elizabeth and Buster.

Ed. Note: I bought some crackers here. Turned out they were crackers that my mom used to enjoy as a young girl in Africa. Brought back some nice memories for her. She plans on visiting this store soon.
