In the early morning, a homeless man sleeping. Many churches will allow the homeless to sleep on their steps, instead of driving them away. The sleeper is lying inside one of the doorways of Riverside Church.

Ed. Note: A few of you have asked how I got so close. I think I got lucky with this shot because the bird stopped less than a foot away from me and didn’t move for a while, giving me a chance to snap the photo with one hand as I held my dog on the leash with the other hand. LOL! Then I cropped the photo using a tip from Abraham Lincoln. I provided the link on how to do that in an earlier post. If you’re interested in it, let me know and I’ll dig it up for you again.
