The guidelines in part:
"The prominent color of your photograph does NOT have to be green. This is not so much a color-based meme (though it can be) but one where people focus on the concept of environmental awareness, renewable energy and protecting natural spaces, animals and their habitats."

Ruby Tuesday: The Helicopter
April 27, 2009 | Filed Under Photo Blogging Theme Day, Ruby Tuesday | 33 Comments

Last Friday, there was a lot of activity in the air with a whole bunch of helicopters — about six — hovering and circling over a spot below. This was the only red helicopter among them. I’ve never seen a red helicopter before. Have you? Turns out it was a news helicopter.
Later, on the news, I heard that someone had barricaded himself in a room or had held people hostage — something like that (I don’t pay too much attention to the news and don’t remember the details of the story.). The ordeal lasted a few hours and I think that everyone involved was fine.
So here’s my Ruby Tuesday shot (a photo showing the color red) for the week.

Portrait painting by Joanne Giesbrecht of Thistledown Arts
Thanks to everyone who left me comforting messages here and emailed me privately when my dog, Cadeau, died. I appreciate your kindness very much.
Thanks, Joanne of Thistledown Arts for the wonderful surprise portrait painting of Cadeau. My family and I love it and it makes me smile every time I look at it. Thanks so much.
