Ruby Tuesday: The Door

The door of an apartment building. I couldn’t figure out which photo to post, so I give you both. Which one do you like? The one with the fire hydrant or not?

I like the closeup without the fire hydrant (but they’re both good)!

I tend to favor tightly cropped pictures, but in this case i prefer the longer shot with the hydrant and the green plant above.
I like the, or not, photo. Great capture.
Beautiful modern door, Paz!
Very good choice for Ruby Tuesday!
beautiful red door! Nice for the Lunar New Year too.
& I wouldn’t be able to decide either!
I vote without. I’m in favor of as much red as possible!
Yep – the one without.
I particularly like that they’ve balanced the door by putting security cameras on both sides, though – it’s a nice touch.
That is really a nice door. It looks oriental to me.
I like both! What a cute door. There must ben something behind it for it looks so open. Love the coloured line with the flower above the door (don’t exactly know what it’s called in English).
Finally, the cute red door you decided to withdraw some weeks back but which turned up in my reader;) For me, defintely the top photo, and the intricate carved details are lovely too.
I prefer the second one!
Thanks for your comments, everyone!

I like it without the fire hydrant.. talk about redness, that’s one red and funky looking door for sure!!
With the fire hydrant makes it more interesting to me.
Thanks for visiting Norwich Daily Photo and leaving your comments.

Ahhhhh! So perfect for Chinese/Lunar New Year.
Okay, silly me but I’m going to admit this. It took me a minute to realize what the difference was. I think if they’d been side by side it would have been different. I think I like the straight one. Either way, love the red!
Both are interesting, but I prefer the one with the fire hydrant, for the wider view….and also is that a planter on the roof over the door? Don’t think I’ve seen many pots of plans above a door before!
As remarkable as the door itself is, what I really love even more is the intricate door frame with all the carving or plasterwork, and the little shelf above. I want that door!
