How Much is that Cow in the Window?
January 30, 2009 | Filed Under Avenues, East Side, Madison Avenue, Neighborhoods, Window Shopping

As I passed by the many stores on Madison Avenue, I looked up, from my bus seat, to see a cow in display window. You don’t usually see a cow in the window.

Ed. Note: The cow was located on the second floor of the store. A reader asked what the store sold or what the owners were trying to sell. I believe it was clothing. I may pass by the store today, so I’ll double check. Mooo.

It’s unusual indeed. You were at the right moment for this picture from the bus! Well done!
Good morning from….GREECE Paz.
What wants a cow in the window?
Finally does not astonish me nothing in the world where we live!
But this spectacle is in point of fact interest!
Great post!
You are right; a cow really cannot be usually seen in the window. Interesting and funny shot!
)
Awesome!
What were they using it to sell, do you know?
Good eye!
Good. You double check to see what they were selling. Maybe there will be a piggy, goat & a bunch of chickens when you pass by next time. That would be fun! You spot the oddest things! I like that you do!
LOL a cow up heigh in the window! If they had been selling dairy stuff. Wonder what they’re advertising for by showing off a cow. Really funny!
Moo! Love it!
They’re a big hit here in Belgium, but I’ve never seen one two stories high!
great capture Paz! You can actually use it for a skywatch photo!
I can’t tell you how moooved* I am with this lovely photograph!
*sorry, Paz, couldn’t help myself. seriously, though, it’s a fun snap!
New York is a fascinating city. What next?
You NYC city slickers should be downright ashamed of yourselves for treating bovines in this manner. Now in California, we only have happy cows. In fact, they are outstanding in their fields. See my latest blog entry, Paz!
