Riding Down Fifth Avenue

Instead of a Yellow cab, how about taking a bike taxi.  I’ve never been on one of these.

Ruby Tuesday: A Touch of Red in the Snow

When it snowed last week, I spotted this half snow-covered red car and knew it would be my shot for Ruby Tuesday.  ;-)   All the snow has melted now.

To see other fun photos with a touch of red, stop by WORK OF THE POET.

Ed. Note:  Ralph commented on the building in the background.  For anyone else interested, it’s a public school.

A few things that caught my eye on Saturday.  Like this decorated church entrance.

Hungry but cautious sparrows

Another decorated church entrance.

A busy squirrel that spared a few seconds to pose for me.

A festive apartment building door.

A dog waiting patiently at the post office.

Shadow Shot Sunday: On the Snow

December 27, 2008 | Filed Under Photo Blogging Theme Day, Seasons, Shadow Shot Sunday, Shadows, Snow, Winter | 31 Comments

My oh, my!  Shadow shots this week have been very scarce for me.  Actually, non existent.   *sigh*   I kept my eyes open for shadows to photograph but had no luck.

I went to the roof top but it was closed because of the snow.  Through the windows of the locked door, I spied some shadows.  *Yes!*  However, since I couldn’t get out there, I was forced to take pictures the best way that I could from behind the barred windows of the locked door.  *Double sigh*  Very pathetic but here’s what I got — some shadows on the snow.

I hope the shadow gods look upon me favorably next week.

To see a fun and creative line up of shadow shots from others around the world, stop by HEY HARRIET (You can also find out how to participate in this event over there!).

Happy Shadow Shot Sunday everyone!
