Today’s Flowers

October 26, 2008 | Filed Under Colors, Flowers, Found on a Building Stoop, Photo Blogging Theme Day, Today's Flowers, White

Anyone know the name of this flower?  Can someone tell me, please?   ;-)   These flowers were part of a collection in a flower box on a building stoop.  They are no longer there.   Something more appropriate for the Fall season has replaced it.

Check out TODAY’S FLOWERS for a fantastic collection of photos from all over the world.

  5. They look similas to snapdragons, also the leaves, somewhere in the back of my mind I hear a little bell tinkling but can’t put my finger on it. It looks like a bi-annual.

  16. I am sure it is not a snapdragon, however, I don’t know what it IS, so what good is that? In any case, a beautiful flower. Come see the rose I have put up for Today’s Flowers, if you have time.

  25. I don’t know what they’re not snapdragons unless they’re a variation of them. Snapdragons’ petals close like a mouth over the center. I’ve seen this but never identified them. Nice shots by the way! :-)

  37. Hi Paz. This flower may be an open-faced snapdragon called Madame Butterfly. Check out this link: http://www.capitalgardens.co.uk/v3/antirrhinum-majus-double-madame-butterfly-mixed-snapdragon-seeds-p-10270.html and look especially at the white one.
