I like the white patches on this pigeon’s head and face.

Ed. Note:  Thanks for your very generous and kind words about my pigeon photo.  For some real awesome and inspiring bird photos stop by Abraham Lincoln’s My Birds Blog and Klaus’s Virtua Gallery.  I wanna take photos like them some day.  You can find more cool links in my Blogroll section.  ;-)

  3. Great picture, Paz. I like his eye, too. I suppose the pink background is a wall, isn’t it?

  7. I thought I was about to write a most original comment before I saw what everyone else said !!!

In fact, it looks like you booked this pigeon through an agency and had him come in or coo-in, and pose for you.

“Turn just a bit to the left- yes, just like that- now look dignified and hold it, hold it…… that’s it!”

  8. Hi Amy: I saw this pigeon this morning and told him what you said. He puffed some more with pride. ;-)

Hi Rhonda: Thanks for your very, very kind words. I’ve listed links to some REAL gifted bird photographers. I have a long way to go and so far, I’m mostly getting pigeons. I gotta start somewhere. Right? ;-)

Ciao Pietro: I like his eye, too. Yes, the pink background is the back wall of a building.

Hi Christine: I was very lucky that he didn’t get spooked and fly away as they all do. I got as close as possible and used my baby zoom lens and macro. ;-)

    Hi Carletta: Thanks!

Hi Sue! He thanks you. ;-)

LOL! Hi Bonnie: Very funny! This pigeon seemed to cooperate with me, didn’t he. I’m sooo grateful. ;-)

Thanks everyone for stopping by with your kind comments.

  14. Hi Harriet: A little bit scary? LOL! Then it’s a good thing that you don’t bump into him dark alley. ;-)
