Hot Dogs on Fifth

From the archives:

Sometime ago, I posted a photo of some people lining up at a hot dog stand.  That day, they all happened to be men.  One reader wondered where the women were.  Well, here’s a photo of a woman waiting for a dirty dog, right on the corner or Fifth Avenue.

  2. Hi Paz,

We missed the turkey but we were worried for a minute–the turkey didn’t look worried at all! I’ll bet these hot dogs are delish.

  6. Paz–I haven’t visited in a while, but it’s nice to catch up. It’s great here in Maine, but I’d love to “dig in” to NYC (I grew up there) again. Now, as a painter, there is almost too much to grasp. You help me do that. Love the pigeon shot!

  8. Hi Pietro: I haven’t had a hot dog in a very long time, too.

LOL! Hi Rhonda: No worries on the turkey’s part, huh? Glad everyone was okay. Yeah, the hot dogs are good. ;-)

Hi Melissa: There’s something about a NYC street hot dog. ;-)

Hi Lala: The streets are usually clean.

Hi Abraham: I’d love to know what they said about the hot dogs.

Hi Jack – fellow New Yorker! Nice to see you here! Glad you liked the pigeon shot.

LOL! Hi Pat: I’ll take one with sauerkraut and mustard and another with mustard AND ketchup. ;-)

    Best,

  10. Those dogs are the best. Gosh, do I miss those! Here in LA, the only street vendors are the Mexican food stands which have good stuff too, but every now and then, I get a major jonesing for a NY street dog. Mmm, mmm, mmm.

Hi Mari: Nothing like a NYC dog even though it’s not the healthiest thing to eat.

    Hi Ambera: Yummmm! ;-)

    Have a good one, all!
