How Much is that Doggy Sweater in the Window?
April 6, 2008 | Filed Under Chelsea, Dogs, Neighborhoods, Pet Shops, Window Shopping

These dog sweaters were on display in the window of a pet shop in Chelsea. They were on sale, I suppose because it’s no longer cold. See, even the dogs in the city can go shopping and find a good sale.

These are so cute but I never met a dog who really liked wearing clothes. Your photography is fabulous.
Thank you for visiting my blog and for commenting there.

Those are too sweet. What a great display! Did you get any for your poochies?
What a cute window display. Those sweaters look nicer than I’ve seen some people wearing! There’s this little old man who I pass almost every day while I drive to work, he’s walking this little dog and in the cold, she’s always got sweaters on!
Wow… now even pooch can play dress up!
Such stylish attire we have in Chelsea!
Bobby’s little dog Joba was so sweet when we looked after him this weekend.
None of our animals ever wore clothes!!!
Hi Abraham: Thanks! I’m so glad you’re feeling well enough to visit.
My dogs DON’T like wearing clothes, even though one of them has short, thin hair and visibly shivers.
Hi Mari: Naw. Didn’t buy them any sweaters. These in particular are too small. My dogs are bigger. Besides, the one dog for which I have coats seems to hate them. She’s not happy putting it on, which stops her from going to the bathroom. She takes forever when I put it on her. I agree, the display is terrific.
Hi Melissa: LOL! Yes, those sweaters do look better than most human’s sweaters. heh heh heh! Even though many dogs don’t like them there are some that really need them to go outside. The weather can be brutal.
Hey there, drama div: Yes, even the pooches can play dress!
Hi Elizabeth: Glad you had a nice time with Joba. Your animals are lucky never to have had to wear clothing. I once bought boots for one of the dogs in particular because of the salt. The experience lasted all of 2 minutes. She hated it and couldn’t walk in it. We got rid of it. This year, I didn’t bother putting a coat on her. We just didn’t stay out too long during the winter season. She was okay. I think she was glad she didn’t have to wear the coat.
I trust everyone is having a good Monday so far!
Best,
Paz
Too, too cute, Paz! Like Abraham says, are they any dogs out there that really like being dressed up? LOL! But look at all those coat options! Happy week, my friend ((HUGS))
I’ll have to get over there to purchase a sweater or two for my pooch. He’s very IN STYLE!
That is the most adorable photo EVER!!!!
LOL! Hi Tracy: Definitely there are lots of options for the well-dressed dog.
Hi Lisa: I’d love to see a photo of your pooch.
Hi Ming: LOL! Thanks! They did a great job with the window, didn’t they?

I agree with Ming(tm). I hope they won’t shrink. How often would you have to wash the sweater for an adventurous city dog this time of year?
Per: You know, I didn’t even think about shrinking sweaters but you’re right. That’s something to consider when purchasing these sweaters. Hmmm…

Can you please send me the name of the store and location so I can call to buy one of these?
