Holiday Shows

December 29, 2007 | Filed Under Christmas, Holidays, Lincoln Center, Metropolitan Opera, West Side

There are a lot of holiday shows performed in the city.  At Lincoln Center, two of those shows are the fairy tale ballet, The Nutcracker and the Metropolitan opera’s Hansel and Gretel.

  1. The last time I visited New York City (many, many years ago) I saw the show “Fiddler on the Roof”. I remember that it was great fun!

  2. The Nutcracker ballet and the Hänsel and Gretel opera are being shown in Vienna too. Somehow I never took my kids to see Hänsel and Gretel, with the must-see Nutcracker and their own school plays, there was always a scheduling conflict.
It is so good to see New York at Christmas time through your eyes. The last time I was there was three years ago, the first week of January. I miss that.
Happy New Year to you! I am looking forward to come back again and again.

Hänsel and Gretel as well as the Nutcracker ballet are wonderful to see before Christmas.
We are in New York very soon.
Love to visit the city for a few days before we leave for our cruise.

  4. Hi Olivia: I wish I’d seen Fiddler. I hear it was very good.

Hi Merisi: Interestingly enough, I’ve never seen Hansel and Gretel before. Maybe next year. I trust you had a nice NY visit. Thanks for your kind words.

Hi Gisela: Let me know when you are coming.

Happy New Year to you all! Thanks for stopping by.

  5. One of my regrets was not being able to see a single show while in NYC! Maybe next time…
